Spring Events 2026

You and your single friends are invited to the UKC events below.

The maximum number of attendees is at the discretion of the volunteer host.

When reserving for these events, give your first & last names plus home phone number.
Your home phone number is important - even if you reserve by email.
The host may need to call you about a last-minute change.

There is a $3 levy per person per event to be paid on arrival.

Join Susan (filling in for Rosemary) for a traditional Hungarian restaurant serving stews, cabbage-rolls, schnitzel, dumplings, and more. Event is open to 12 members. Contact Susan by the day before at: brunnsu@rogers.com or 416-925-4959. The UKC is going back to The Rex, a long-standing Toronto music venue: therex.ca. Join Kay and members to hear The Carlo Muscat Quintet; expect lots of sax. Call or text Kay 647-639-4962 by May 10. Passing the hat: pay what you can. Join Peter for an afternoon of Dixieland Jazz, 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., by the Happy Pals, along with beer or wine refreshments and a chance to get up and dance along to the music of you wish. UKC limit of 12 people. Coming early is advised as it gets pretty busy once the music starts. Our group will probably leave around 6:15 p.m. to go for dinner at a nearby restaurant (optional). Grossman's is located at the Nassau St. stop of the TTC Spadina streetcar. Parking is also available, at the rear of Grossman’s Tavern accessed via Cecil Street. Ron invites you to enjoy dinner at one of the busiest restaurants in Toronto (corner of Church & Front), and the reason is clear – great food. It offers an eclectic menu to suit all tastes, including an extensive vegetarian selection. It has an extensive selection of wines from around the world as well as cocktails, and a selection of offerings from Canadian microbreweries. Join Oli for lunch at this popular lakeside restaurant. Reservations needed, so please call 905-271-8799 by Thu May 21 to reserve. Join Rosemary and enjoy dinner at Soulas, a family-owned restaurant located 2-1/2 blocks from Chester station and offering a wide selection of Greek cuisine. 416-487-9869. Join Jo-ann at the Scarlett Woods golf course for 18 holes of golf. COST: green fees $32.75 for seniors and $41.36 for adults, plus the UKC $3 levy. Rentals are available: Clubs $25 with pull cart included, pull cart only $7, power carts $25/person. There will be prizes for longest drive and closest to the pin.
